    Testing and tools

Test code with fb test, format it with fb fmt, document it with fb doc, and debug it, in VS Code or anywhere.

fb is one command for the whole job, not only for building. fb test runs tests that live beside the code, and fb fmt lays code out in the one standard style. Doc comments’ examples are tests too, and fb doc exports the docs. Stack traces and the debugger find bugs, and the VS Code extension puts all of it in the editor.

    Tutorials

    1. Writing tests Write @Test functions beside your code, check results with Expect and ExpectThrows, and run them with fb test.
    2. Formatting Lay code out in FutureBlitz's one style with fb fmt, check it in CI with --check, and set the line width.
    3. Documenting code Write /// and //! doc comments in Markdown, make their examples tests, and export a package's API with fb doc.
    4. Debugging Read a panic's stack trace and an uncaught error's, tell debug builds from release builds, and step through code in a debugger.
    5. The VS Code extension Install the FutureBlitz extension, and write, run, test, and debug a package without leaving the editor.
