fb check
Checks a program for errors, without building it.
fb check [options] [file.fb | package folder]fb check reads a program and every module it imports, and reports each error and warning, without
generating code. It’s the fastest way to know whether a program compiles. With no file or folder, it
works on the package the current folder is in: the nearest folder, from the current one up, with a
project.toml.
Options
| Option | |
|---|---|
--release | Optimizes, and lets integer overflow wrap instead of panicking |
--show <stages> | Prints what the compiler made at each stage: tokens, ast, types, mir, llvm, or all |
--offline | Uses only the registry packages in the cache |
--color <when> | Colors the output: auto, always, or never |
--release checks the code a release build compiles, which matters where #If tests it.
